Such nature does not exist in any other place of the island. The large path where the green of the gardens and the blue of the sky and the sea reign, seems to represent a continuous exchange between the Procida of the past and the Procida of the future.
In the zone there is a very strong devotion for the Madonna della Libera whose church has also gradually become among the most active cultural and social centres on the island. Originally a Benedictine women's monastery, today it introduces a Latin cross structure with aisles which are dominated by a beautiful rustic bell tower with a clock. An altar piece with the Annunciation dating back to the 16th century, a 6th century painting of the Madonna della Libera and sacred religious ornaments belonging to important families of the island are all preserved on the bigger altar. Besides the Church, another monument to be visited is the sixteenth-century lookout tower of Rotunda, the best preserved tower out of the three existing ones on the island.
There are two places where it is possible to bathe in the crystalline waters of the sea.

The lava rocks of Punta Faro suits swimmers demanding relaxation - and the more isolated crater of Pozzo Vecchio is one of the most beautiful and suggestive beaches, which, up until a few years ago was unknown to most -. It is above all recognized for having been the beach of metaphors in the unforgettable cinematographical masterpiece Il Postino (The Postman).
A few rocks separate it from the Spiaggetta degli Innamorati (Lover's Beach), the most romantic hideaway, especially at sunset.
Its waters, full of fish and endless sea urchins, represent the most popular destination for lovers of snorkelling and underwater fishing.
Unbelievable breathtaking panoramas of the whole Gulf in Naples and Vesuvius act as a frame to this marvellous place, softened even more by the chirruping of the birds that bring to mind the unforgettable words of Morante:

"… My island has solitary pathways closed in between ancient walls, over which orchards and vineyards that look like imperial gardens stretch out.
It has various beaches with clear and delicate sand, and other smaller shores covered in pebbles and shells… ".
